At the Power to the Peaceful Festival we met two guys who were embarking on a fabulous project.  They’re trying to get whoever wins the election come November to commit to planting an organic garden on the lawn.  What a great idea!

They purchased this amazing bus from Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry’s® Ice Cream fame and are driving it cross country stopping at festivals and events along the way trying to raise awareness about organic gardening.  We were thrilled to meet them – they even brought their bus by our offices after the event!

We stocked them up with chocolate and wished them well. Last we heard from them they were in Southern California with plans to head East. Check out their Web site to see if they might be coming to your neighborhood soon!

NeighborSpace

We just heard from a great organization called NeighborSpace - an urban land trust for community gardens in Chicago.  They’re having a fundraiser on October 18th called “Put the Garden to Bed” and contacted us to see if we could help.  We love being able to support organizations like this with our organic chocolate.  So if you live in the Chicago area and love gardens and chocolate be sure to check out the event, try some Dagoba® Chocolate and say hi for us!
