In today’s modern world, there is no longer a lot of work settings where people have to wear a suit and tie to work every day. Some workplaces have, in the last 25 years or more, have been considered “ordinary business” or a lot of casual employment has days every Friday. But what exactly does this term is somewhat subjective means? What should you wear to business casual office?
When determining what to wear to work, you’ll want to put a little more focus on “business” words and a little less on the word “relax.” The term was coined in order to encourage people to be more comfortable in the workplace. But you still need to look professional every day. So if the term is slightly more accurate, it may be called “business convenience” instead. Key pieces for this type of clothing is:
1. Flat-front trousers in cotton or wool, in black, gray and khaki.
2. Button down shirt in pastel, pinstripes, and black / brights such as eggplant and teal.
3. Lightweight knits such as cotton, wool and cashmere.
4. Patterned relationships.
5. Sports jacket.
6.”Non-shoes” shoes such as boat shoes, loafers or boots derby.
One key to creating a business casual wardrobe is finding the right style and staple pieces that you can mix and match. For example, a pair of gray wool pants can be worn with knitted charcoal lighter, button down shirt and tie, or button down shirts with sports jackets. A cashmere sweater v-neck solid color can be worn over a button down shirt and tie, coated cotton crewneck striped top, or worn under a sports jacket. A button down shirt with a line of light pin can be worn by itself with the sleeves rolled up (on a hot day), worn with a tie, sweater vest layered under, or worn with a suit.
Wait, a suit, you ask? In a relaxed business environment? Yes, there are times when the lawsuit would still be appropriate and even necessary. If you are going to meet with clients or if you have a business meeting, time to suit up. Earth toned suit like in brown, khaki and olive green are generally regarded as more relaxed than those in black or dark blue. You can also find a suit with an interesting pattern, like a light plaid or striped. The key to look a little more relaxed and at ease in a suit too sure in what you wear underneath. You should avoid sexual character or novelty. But this is a good time and a place to experiment with different styles neckties. Try wearing a tie in vivid colors such as purple, purple, orange or yellow. This is a great way to add a touch of personality to your outfit, and it seems much less conservative than, say, traditional navy and red diagonal striped tie.
The point is to build business casual wardrobe right is that despite the supposed “convenience business,” you are still at work. This is a great idea to wear a tie with a little color in it, to relax your button shirt sleeves rolled up to your elbow, or to wear a sports jacket with a pair of khaki pants or wool pants instead of suit. However, it’s not a good idea to wear T-shirts with slogans written on them or sports team, faded denim, plastic sandals, or anything with a hole in it. Stay conservative and professional with your wardrobe, but inject some comfort and creativity into it.
